If you were hurt in an accident somebody else caused, you are about to go up against an insurance company that does this for a living, and you are not. That is the gap we exist to close. We are a family-run team of Dallas-Fort Worth personal injury lawyers who take the claim off your hands, deal with the insurer, and work to put a fair recovery back in your hands.

Our promise to clients is short enough to fit on one line: we will make it better. That does not mean we can undo the wreck, but it does mean the legal fight, the phone calls, and the pressure become our job instead of yours.

You can reach us any hour of the day; the consultation is free, and there is no fee unless you collect. So before you sign anything or say a word to an adjuster, it is worth a conversation.

The Insurance Company Has a Team. Now You Do Too.

After a crash, the friendly adjuster on the phone works for a company whose profit depends on paying you as little as possible. That is not a conspiracy; it is the business model, and pretending otherwise would not help you.

Insurers employ adjusters, investigators, and defense lawyers whose job is to find reasons to reduce or deny your claim. Facing that alone, right after an injury, is how good cases turn into small checks. We put a team on your side of the table so the fight is fair, documenting the harm, answering their tactics, and holding the company to what it owes.

The Texas Department of Insurance sets standards for how claims must be handled, and part of our work is holding insurers to them.

You Won’t See Us on a Billboard

Here is something that sets us apart in a market full of loud advertising. Most of our cases come from referrals, from past clients and from other lawyers who know our work, which is why you do not see us on television, on the highway, or hear us on the radio.

We would rather put our resources into our clients’ cases than into buying attention. That choice keeps our caseload built on trust instead of volume, and it means the people we represent get real attention rather than a spot in an assembly line.

It also shapes how it feels to work with us. You deal with our team directly; you can actually reach someone, and the relationship does not end the day your case closes. That is the difference between a firm that advertises the most and one that works to be recommended.

Meet Our Injury Accident Attorneys

The firm is run by three attorneys who bring different strengths to the same fight. Between them, they cover the ground a serious injury claim demands.

Tim Tate is the personal injury lawyer whose name the firm carries, with a finance background that shapes how he values and argues the money in a claim. Chris Rehmet is a former prosecutor who now points that trial experience straight at insurance companies. Claire Tate Rehmet digs into the insurance coverage questions that decide so many claims, tracing every policy that might apply.

What ties them together is a habit of preparing every case as if it will be tried.

We Are Here to Answer Your Questions

What Should You Do Before You Talk to an Insurer?

Get medical care first, then be careful with your words. The steps you take in the hours and days after a crash can shape your claim more than almost anything a lawyer does later.

See a doctor even if you feel alright, since adrenaline hides injuries and a gap in treatment is the first thing an insurer points to. Photograph the vehicles, the scene, and your injuries, and collect the names and numbers of anyone who saw what happened. Then hold off on giving the other driver’s insurer a recorded statement, because ordinary comments get twisted into reasons to pay you less.

After that, let a lawyer do the talking. We can preserve the evidence, handle the adjuster, and keep you from the small missteps that quietly shrink a claim.

How Do We Turn a Claim Into a Fair Number?

We build the case first and negotiate second. A demand only carries weight when it rests on proof, so the work starts long before any conversation about money.

We gather the crash report, the photos, the witness accounts, and any camera or vehicle data before it disappears. We work with your doctors so the records connect the injury to the wreck and account for the care still ahead of you. Only then do we take a documented, trial-ready claim to the insurance company, and if the offer does not reflect reality, we are prepared to file suit.

That order is the whole point. A number backed by evidence is far harder for an adjuster to dismiss than one thrown out early, and it is what separates a settlement that covers you from one that runs out.

Why Is the First Offer Never the Real Number?

The first offer is designed to be low and to arrive before you understand what your injury will cost. The quick check that shows up days after a wreck is a tactic, not a favor.

An early offer lands while your medical picture is still forming, and accepting it usually closes the claim for good, even if you need surgery a month later. Insurers count on bills and stress pushing hurt people into taking less than a case is worth. We slow that process down, because a fair figure cannot be set until a doctor understands the full extent of the injury.

Do We Take Every Case That Comes In?

We do not take every case, and we think that honesty is part of the service. We do not sign a case unless we believe we can add real value to it, because taking someone on is a commitment we intend to keep.

When a case is not the right fit, we will tell you plainly, and when it makes sense, we will point you toward a firm better suited to it or explain how you might handle it yourself. That candor costs us some cases, but it is the reason so many clients and other attorneys send people our way. You will always get a straight answer from us, even when it is not the one that puts your case on our desk.

Serving Every Corner of North Texas

We built the firm to stay close to the people we represent, with offices reaching from Dallas and Fort Worth up through Denton, Sherman, and McKinney. From those locations, we handle claims across the surrounding counties and throughout Texas. Being local is not a tagline for us. We know the highways where these wrecks happen and the county courts where the cases are heard, and that familiarity is worth real money to a client.

FAQs: Dallas-Fort Worth Personal Injury Lawyers

How Much Does It Cost to Hire Us?

Hiring us costs nothing upfront. We work on a contingency basis, which means there is no fee unless you collect, and we advance the costs of building your case. The initial review is always free.

Sooner is better. Texas generally gives you two years to file suit under Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code Section 16.003, but evidence starts fading immediately, so early involvement protects your claim.

You may still have a path to recovery through your own uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage, which Texas insurers must offer unless you rejected it in writing under Texas Insurance Code Section 1952.101. We look for every policy that might apply.

You do not have to come to an office. We meet clients by phone or video, come to a home or hospital when needed, and handle most of a case remotely, so an injury never keeps you from getting help.

Usually not, though we prepare every case as if it will. Most claims settle, and the ones that settle fairly are the ones an insurer believes we are ready to try.
