The automotive website Tire Reviews and More published a study that analyzed Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The study specifically examined the frequency with which drivers of different makes of cars were involved in fatal crashes.
The findings indicated that people in domestic or economy vehicles were less likely to be in fatal accidents caused by speeding than those in luxury or foreign brands. Drivers of foreign or luxury vehicles, however, were less likely to be involved in alcohol-related accidents than drivers of domestic or economy vehicles.
